Elgin Tiny House Project
A few years ago I was working on a project and my boss emailed me a website for inspiration that happened to have a post “How to Build a Tiny House”. The picture of the house on the post looked amazing, and my interest was piqued. It was awesome, and being the DIY kind of guy that I am, I was ready to build one then and there. Reality on the other hand (and having a job) prevented me from starting then and there. I dove into researching tiny houses and there are so many amazing ideas out there I felt that I had to build one.
The first thing I did was look at how everyone was fitting all their needs into such a small space. Then it was making a list of everything I had to have, and what I could compromise on.
I’ve been wanting to get out of town for a while and build a tiny house. Have some spot where I could have a really cook workshop to make the awesome. The dream is to build my tiny house, raise some chickens, maybe a dozen have some bees, and 4 goats that I may or may have not already named in my head. Who knows how many dogs will end up out there.
